#Foititips: 4 + 1 ways to find motivation for your studies
Based on the original article in Greek by Myrto Zara

Even those of you who love your subject of study often face lack of inspiration and motivation. Motivation for using your imagination and curiosity is rarely provided by the institution of your studies. The ideas given in this article will help you find your interest. A boost to become interested in your studies.
Create a network
The first thing you can do when you look for motivation is to see if you can get in touch with people of the same field as yours. Your fellow students or people from different institutions but with a common interest, other students from your city or even online. Such people can help you find your interest with their own thoughts and ideas. Try organizing a study group at your school or participating in an online forum or group with a particular topic. The internet offers a great range of topics, such as:
- History
- Geography
- Mathematics
- Philology
- Medicine
- Science and anything else you want
There, you can share your thoughts, questions, even the problems and the “mental block” that you may experience.
Look for inspiration outside the book
Academic books almost always provide plenty of material and information on the subject you are studying. However, they do not always arouse your curiosity about it, when you read them at the lending library of your school or city. Even on the internet, on YouTube or on podcast platforms you can find interesting information that is not written in the books. Do your research and discover material that will motivate you to get excited again and find your inspiration.
Find a mentor
Take a break
- a foreign language
- a sport
- a different field of inquiry than yours
You just may be surprised! In the meantime, however, be consistent with your university obligations, in order not to fall behind when you find your interest again. Inspiration can be found even when you are busy doing things different from your major.
Start something yourself
Last but not least, the solution to unblock your thoughts is maybe to create something. Build your own online team, your own podcast or series of digital material. Gather your knowledge from the university into notes and share them with the other students. You can even combine a seemingly different subject of study with your own and conduct research, in order to start a series of videos, a forum or a page with fun and interesting information.
